1999 - Pictures from Egypt

The three pyramids Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure on the plateaux at Giza. You really only appreciate their sheer size when you stand right beside them. Still, despite the robbers it was great to see them. Now we have seen two of the oldest astronomically aligned buildings in the world. The pyramids and Newgrange here in Ireland (which is even older than the pyramids).
