2002 - Pictures from South Africa

This Thick-Tailed Bush baby had developed a taste for chicken legs! During our Boma (an excellent outdoor style barbeque which the South Africans excel at) it constantly hung around and would take food direct from our hands. Apparently their call resembles a baby in distress and is quite unnerving when heard at night when they are usually active. They are frequently seen foraging on the ground.
