2002 - Pictures from South Africa

Jean,Ros,Natalie and Geraldine are experienced eclipse chasers at this stage. Their relaxed attitude to the cloudy conditions in this photo is typical of the philosophical approach that the group has to eclipse chasing. If the location for the trip is well chosen then the eclipse is  only one part of it and there are always plenty of other events to look forward to. The trip to South Africa had 3 phases. The eclipse, the wildlife viewing and then Cape Town. If all three had gone wrong then I would suspect the smiles might recede!
