This giraffe has an Red Billed Oxpecker in attendance. These birds carry out an invaluable service in that they remove parasites from the animal's skin. If you look close you can see wounds on the giraffe's neck and the bird is searching around them looking for ticks and blood sucking fleas. I believe he is booked out for the next year.
