2003 Nov 23 Total Solar Eclipse

There was a total solar eclipse over Antarctica on 23 Nov 2003 (or 24 Nov local time for many of the people who observed it). South Dublin Astronomical Society member Dan Lynch took Qantas flight QF2901 which intercepted the eclipse over Antarctica - you read about it and see the pictures. Also, we have some pictures from near the South Pole taken during the partial eclipse that was observed there - note that these pictures do not show the sun, just the darkening that occurred during the eclipse.
