What the camera sees.........
This is what was hidden from the human eye...........and worth the trip
alone. Having been clouded out in Scotland in May 2003 and almost
clouded out in South Africa in 2002 I was beginning to feel that we
were encountering a streak of bad luck. All the sunsets up to the big
day were cloud free. On April 19th the day started out cloud free, but
as the day drew to a close the cloud formed and eventually created what
was essentially a low barrier on the horizon., We are out of luck again
I thought. But on glancing at the sunset through a 500mm camera lens I
realised that a break in the cloud was starting to appear. So I fired
away with the camera and this and the following few photos show my
results. This was my first attempt at eclipse photography and I was
pleasantly surprised when the photos actually captured something!
