2009 - Operation Dim
Sun,China.
9 of the group are
traveling to China this year for the longest eclipse of their
lifetimes. They are meeting up with some of our eclipse chasing friends
from the UK and Sweden who shared the fantastic Libyan experience with
them in 2006. As usual there will be a full report and a load of photos
available to view here after they return. This is the first time that
the two main main organisers of these eclipse trips will not be
present. They will have to stay at home and bite their nails from the
dubious comfort of their PC screens half a world's distance
away. Let us take the oppurtunity to wish all those traveling clear
skies and a safe return.
They are planning to watch
the eclipse from a site in
the Shangfan mountains so hopefully the weather will be obliging on the
day. The whole trip will take nearly 18 days and they plan to see many
sites during their stay.
On their return we will sort
out the photos and post them up on the site.
