It has come to our attention that there is a story on the net that this years eclipse will cause a tsunami with massive loss of life. ABSOLUTE AND TOTAL RUBBISH!!!!!! For those of you who subscribe to such scare stories please go back to school and do some basic science. We know there is going to be a tidal bore on the Quiantang river in Yanguan close to Totality. How do we know this? Because it happens every DAY, is linked to tidal movements and the moon and this eclipse day is no different. Look up tidal bores on the internet and find out for yourself. The Chinese even have a festival annually to celebrate the occurence. Total eclipses do not cause tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, outbreaks of pestilence and disease, stock market collapses, financial recessions,wars etc and other natural disasters. The only natural disaster I can think of which might occur during this eclipse is being clouded out on the day!
